Ice-Watch Philippine Launch

I first heard of Ice-Watch July this year and was so looking forward to its launch, which was held last September 1 at C3 Events Place in Greenhills. While I might have failed to join the rest of the media people in covering the event, I got my sweet husband to attend for me. Little did I know, he was coming home with no less than an eleven grand worth of Ice-Watch timepiece for me.

The Ice-Watch Press launch could not have been more interesting. The launch was unique as it had the press people participate in an auction, where the tender that was used are the ones sent with the media invite. The program started off with models on the ramp wearing the different collections of Ice-Watch. The auction followed thereafter. Special thanks to Jeff Siy of Boy Kuripot, Alex Dizon of Recycle Bin of a Middle Child and Fritz Tentativa of Fritzified.com for throwing in their respective “play money,” just so the hubby could bid which apparently was the most expensive that was up for auction that night.
Ice-Watch was born in 2007, designed in Belgium. The designers behind this fab brand are Jean-Pierre Lutgen, Polly Yu & Christy So. Ice-Watch is currently being distributed in over 50 countries including Belgium, England, America, Germany, France, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, and now, the Philippines.
I went off to Shangri-la Mall the day after the event to have my brand new Gold Rose Ice-Watch’s leather strap adjusted. It was way too big for me. Unfortunately, they do not service watches in that location. We were told that the service center for Ice-Watch is located in Gilmore. Straps replacements are also only available in the service center. That’s a quick tip for those who would need to have their Ice-Watch serviced.
