It is always great to make a big effort with your hairstyle by blow-drying, straightening or curling it. However, sometimes you may want to do something a little simpler that takes less time and effort to complete. This is where braiding comes in as it can be really easy to do and does not require lots of complicated hair products and electrical appliances.

If there is one place I frequent to get my beauty products replenished, it is Watsons. Of course, I still go to Rustan’s Essences sometimes. But since Watsons is practically everywhere, it has long been my default go to place not just for my beauty needs but also when I need to buy some medicines.
When I got an invite from Watsons last week for an event, I came expecting that yet another interesting brand will be launched. Like similar to the Beyond Bath launched in Manila Hotel last year. Let us just say, I got more than I bargained for. I came in with the above image on the slide. While I already am partial towards Watsons, even when it comes to health products, it is great to know that there actually is a worthwhile advocacy they are pursuing.

Agree? The lack of sleep can get to you if you don’t do something about it, I tell you. It can really compromise your immune system, make you look haggard and older than you really are, and worst of all, it can affect your mental and emotional well-being.

Recently there has been a lot of talks about a new television show coming out in one of the local stations about a “negra” or dark-skinned girl. It caused a lot of stir in various social media networks and across the blogosphere. Although I may do blog about beauty products and how to enhance our looks, I think it is important to remember one thing about what beauty really is: it is more than meets the eye.

I would bet that almost everybody at one point or another has asked about what are the best diets that work. I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but whenever you gain too much weight, or perhaps do not monitor the kinds of food you eat, it affects your entire being: physically, mentally and even emotionally. From a physical standpoint, our skin gets sallow and uneven, and we tend to retain too much water. Zits, blemishes and the like tend to happen too. We also become more sluggish, lazy and moody. That’s why it is important to remember that our diet is truly the best beauty secret..One thing that we all should remember about dieting is should not be rushed ever, so here’s to us Kikay ladies!!!

As parties comes in left and right this holiday season, it is just right to ramp it up, while you are already at it, looking fab and pretty. Last Saturday, Watsons treated us and some chosen BDO Prestige Cardholders to a grand Holiday Glam Makeover by Maybelline and L’Oreal.
The makeover workshop was jumpstarted by Maybelline New York’s Senior Makeup Artist, Harold Santos. He worked on the model and taught us some basics on the 60’s look. Particularly the winged eye look.

There is this controversy of the vitamins designed for pregnant women can be taken by those who are not and achieve great looking skin. Kikay Corner has an appointment with Flawless in SM Marikina later today. After reading quite a few entries of fellow bloggers who have visited other branches as they road tested some of Flawless’ beauty services, I will go with anticipation although I am not very sure yet of what will be the recommended service for me to try out.
