Turning back the clock with Luxe Skin Rejuvenation Light Therapy

  • Posted on May 4, 2012 at 12:09 pm

The advent of Wellness Generation paved the way for people to not just embrace healthy living but also go into exceptional lengths when it comes to maintaining the skin’s youthful glow. While there are a bunches of more invasive procedure, the non-invasive ones, I will always personally favor.

Having tried the RF (radio frequency) treatment a few times, I really did not see much of a difference. But there is this new anti-aging light therapy/treatment that has caught my attention.

This Luxe Skin Rejuvenation Photofacial Device by Tanda is something I can make use of in the comforts of my own home. Yes, I’m a homebody like that.  Being a non-fan of the metro’s otherwise permanent and horrendous traffic, leaving the house for a facial treatment will never really be on top of my priority list.  The biggest plus is this, it only costs a fraction of the price of a couple of RF treatment packages.  How’s that for savings! :-)

Braids add a simple, yet interesting look to your hairstyle

  • Posted on October 4, 2011 at 12:00 am

It is always great to make a big effort with your hairstyle by blow-drying, straightening or curling it. However, sometimes you may want to do something a little simpler that takes less time and effort to complete. This is where braiding comes in as it can be really easy to do and does not require lots of complicated hair products and electrical appliances.

Watsons is Going Beyond Beauty

  • Posted on June 1, 2011 at 12:00 am

If there is one place I frequent to get my beauty products replenished, it is Watsons. Of course, I still go to Rustan’s Essences sometimes. But since Watsons is practically everywhere, it has long been my default go to place not just for my beauty needs but also when I need to buy some medicines.

When I got an invite from Watsons last week for an event, I came expecting that yet another interesting brand will be launched. Like similar to the Beyond Bath launched in Manila Hotel last year. Let us just say, I got more than I bargained for. I came in with the above image on the slide. While I already am partial towards Watsons, even when it comes to health products, it is great to know that there actually is a worthwhile advocacy they are pursuing.

Dr. Ancheta explained to the media present how superbug comes to existence and how it can be prevented through visuals.

A few beauty tips for fellow sleep deprived netizens

  • Posted on February 26, 2011 at 11:43 pm

For many WAHMS (work at home moms) like myself, graveyard shift workers (such as call center agents, nurses and the like), and online assistants, one of the many things we have to contend with most is lack of sleep. Agree? The lack of sleep can get to you if you don’t do something about it, I tell you. It can really compromise your immune system, make you look haggard and older than you really are, and worst of all, it can affect your mental and emotional well-being.

Much abuzz about Nita Negrita

Recently there has been a lot of talks about a new television show coming out in one of the local stations about a “negra” or dark-skinned girl. It caused a lot of stir in various social media networks and across the blogosphere. Although I may do blog about beauty products and how to enhance our looks, I think it is important to remember one thing about what beauty really is: it is more than meets the eye.

A good diet is the best beauty secret

  • Posted on February 24, 2011 at 11:45 pm

I would bet that almost everybody at one point or another has asked about what are the best diets that work. I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but whenever you gain too much weight, or perhaps do not monitor the kinds of food you eat, it affects your entire being: physically, mentally and even emotionally. From a physical standpoint, our skin gets sallow and uneven, and we tend to retain too much water. Zits, blemishes and the like tend to happen too. We also become more sluggish, lazy and moody. That’s why it is important to remember that our diet is truly the best beauty secret..One thing that we all should remember about dieting is should not be rushed ever, so here’s to us Kikay ladies!!! :-)

Prenatal vitamins for great looking skin?

  • Posted on September 15, 2010 at 10:00 pm

There is this controversy of the vitamins designed for pregnant women can be taken by those who are not and achieve great looking skin. While beauty forums would differ in their stand on this, we cannot invalidate the many women who have been raving and are vouching for this.
