Beauty Place Review: Kutis Filipina and Its Membership Card Launch

Kutis Filipina Loyalty Club Membership Card

Over the weekend, I was delighted to find myself in a skin care clinic, after a while of being in hiatus.  I knew I was in dire need of pampering but I also felt bogged down by the crazy metro traffic. What finally got me to give pampering a go again was the proximity of my new found beauty place – Kutis Filipina.

Diana Stalder’s DermaLift: Advanced Anti-Aging Technology

dermalift

It was when I turned 40 in September that I started noticing what used to be fine lines, begin to look more prominent than I would want my random facial lines to be. Then my husband dragged me to potential places where we can have our renewal of vows done on our 15th anniversary – it could have easily set me on to panic mode.

dermalift

It was right around that time when I first tried Diana Stalder’s Dermalift. I haven’t tried anything like it before, so I really didn’t know what to expect. All I knew was I was set to look my best on our renewal of vows but there is no way I am going to do anything drastic or invasive.

What is Dermalift?

Dermalift systems are manufactured to British, European and International standards. They are all fully guaranteed by Silhouette International , and backed by 32 years of expert research and development in the world of advanced anti ageing technology, and are recognised as market leaders. Beauty Treatment Review: Diana Stalder Laser Treatment for sun spots and spider veins.

Sun spot, age spot, melasma, however it gets called, it has the makings of us being self-conscious or just plain annoyed. I honestly switch from former to the latter. Who wants a blotchy skin anyway?!

Diana Stalder Megamall

Finally took that step to get my sunspots taken cared of at Diana Stalder in Megamall towards the end of June.

Consult with Diana Stalder in-house Dermatologist, Dra. Anne Capistrano

Skin Consultation

As soon as Dra. Anne took note of my sun spot skin concern, she headed on towards a series of questions on my lifestyle. Mainly pertaining to the frequency of sun exposure in my daily grind. I later appreciated how thorough she was before she jumped right on to a solution. I had a few options, one of which is chemical peeling, which provides the fastest result. But because I had a client call happening the next couple of days, there was no way it was feasible, since chemical peel will mean that I’m to visibly peel and I have to practically stay indoors and stay out of the sun. I’ve done this years ago and I know what it’s like. That takes it out of the question. After some deliberations, we agreed on laser treatment for my sun spots with TyRo White line to support the treatment. (more…)

Fashion, Beauty Finds and Holiday Shopping at @LamidoPH

You can say that one’s a certified online shopper when a lot of what she talks about are the perks of online shopping. You really can’t blame me since it has worked for me for years, I wouldn’t exchange the convenience of it all. It’s crazy during times I’ll just need to swing by malls these days, seems like everyone in the metro is at those shopping establishments doing their holiday shopping.

If you’re a practical girl like me, you’d seriously look into shopping online and save yourself the hassle of having to do elbow-hitting ninja moves at the mall to check out your holiday gifts list.

And because fashion and beauty gifts don’t get old, those are the categories I’m mostly hanging out in Lamido these days. The prices to love as well. I love that I don’t have to spend on gas while I’m at it.  (more…)

Try Something Different for Your Skin

When people hear about cleansing the skin with oil for the first time, a blaring alarm goes off. People have traditionally been taught to think that oil is bad. They think that oil equals blackheads, pustules and other forms of acne. People have been taught that they must completely rid their skin of all traces of oil in order to have clear skin. However, if people look at the amount of products they have used on their skin over the years, they will quickly observe that all these products that were designed to rid the face of oil did very little to clear their skin. In fact, these products have exacerbated the effects of wrinkles, comedones, uneven skin tone and acne.

GentleYag Laser Treatment by @SkinHouseBeauty and Laser Clinic

Last weekend, I finally got the chance to have some pampering time for myself. It was way overdue and I thought it might as well be a treatment that will jumpstart my skin improvement journey.

It was my first time to visit SkinHouse Beauty and Laser Clinic and I finally got to meet Gretha who explained to me the Gentle Yag Laser Treatment procedure that I was there for.

Laser skin tightening is a unique facial rejuvenation option that produces dramatic results. It effectively reduces the appearance of wrinkles and loose skin for a smoother and more youthful appearance. As gravity and the aging process naturally take place, the skin loses its elasticity and youthful appearance. This treatment may offer an alternative to, or help supplement a surgical facelift. It is a safe, effective way to lessen the effects of time.

Laser skin tightening helps with improving fine wrinkles and lines on the face without prolonged “downtime”. The effect is often referred to as non-invasive collagen remodeling.

I was actually choosing between Laser Hair Removal and Laser Skin Tightening.  I also wanted to do away with having to shave my underarms every so often, so the former was very tempting. But since I was blogging about this, I couldn’t bring myself to think I would have to post images of my pits. Haha! Besides, I also  would love to do something about my laugh lines that are threatening to further embed around my poor mouth prematurely.  Now that I think about it, I believe it’s a facial feature passed down to us because my mom’s laugh lines have been pretty prominent too even at her young age. Plus I kind of give in to laughing whenever. With homeschooling my corny and giggly 8 year old son for 4 years now, can you really blame me?  🙂

Introducing Asian Secrets Lulur Whitening Facial Scrub to my weekly routine

It has been more than a year since Asian Secrets Lulur Whitening Body Scrub was first introduced to my bath routine. I love that the makers have come up with its counterpart specially formulated for the face.

Lulur

I posted the above photo on Instagram (follow me! @jenaspacio) a couple of weeks back. 🙂

Asian Secrets Lulur scrubs are inspired by a most luxurious ritual used by Indonesian royalty called Lulur, originally intended for the bride-to-be to beautify, smoothen, and whiten her skin before her wedding day. Lulur originated from the royal palaces of Java, Indonesia and products inspired by this traditional treatment are still used by Indonesian women, and in specialty spas today.

Recent Beauty Find: Nature Republic C.C. (Complete Control) Cream

More than six months in and I am still loving the first of the Nature Republic beauty products I have gotten my hands on. I am especially loving the Nature Republic’s Collagen HD Blusher, which lasts me practically the whole day.

Nature Republic sent over a few more products last week and I am totally digging the Nature Republic C.C. (Complete Control) Cream. I have used it thrice since and I love how it evens out my skin tone without looking so heavy. While my usual BB cream will give me the full coverage look, this CC cream just looks so fresh and light. It has given me no breakouts too! That is definitely something to take note of when using a brand new skin product. When it does, it can go either way – either it is designed to do some purging or it really is not for your skin.

Nature Republic C.C. Cream

Nature Republic C.C. Cream comes in three variants. Pure Cream Tinted, Makeover Cream Color Change and Holic Cream Whitening

What I am currently using is Nature Republic CC Cream Super Origin CC Cream Tinted with SPF 30 PA++. The tinted part allows me to use it with nothing else on top of it, which really is a dream! While some CC creams will have you use a BB cream on top of it, this one is ideal for lazy girls like me. I really would rather apply one product on my skin and that’s that. I do not even have to bother with the sunblock because the SPF 30 will take care of that. Sweet! 🙂

Working from Home Wearing Innisfree Shea Butter Mask

There is probably no other job on earth (except perhaps for those who are in the cosmetics department) that can have you work as your face is plastered with a mask like this — Innisfree Shea Butter, specifically, for me, for this time being. It’s like seeing the twin sister of phantom himself (is he had any), this time with a full mask. I was supposed to upload a photo of me with a mask but was way too shy. My eyes gave my illness away. I have been under the weather for a good month now. The stress of settling back home must have triggered my allergy attacks.
Innisfree shea butter mask

As I found my skin being too tired than usual lately, I pulled out this Innisfree Shea Butter mask from one of my recent Saladbox subscription boxes. The label is mostly in Korean yard sign printing. But that did not stop me from using it. I always knew anyway that Shea butter has some real good moisturizing and hydrating qualities, so Innisfree Shea Butter Mask, it is. I love that it is infused with the blend of herb complex water and essentially ingredients from nature. Natural ingredients always get the upper hand with me. 🙂

Inside the Innisfree Mask

Shea butter-enriched sheet mask soothes and hydrates dry skin for a dramatic improvement in its moisture level after every use. Thick sheet masks are also steeped in herb complex water, treating skin to a steady stream of vitamins and minerals that perk up a drab complexion while strengthening its natural moisture barrier.
