It was during my college years when I first tried out the 3 Day Diet. I saw Mary Prieto’s article in The Philippine Star and immediately got my hands on it. I reproduced it and made sure I got myself a copy for future reference.

I lost a total of 7 pounds on Day 4! All I did was follow the menu plan for three days, which wasn’t at all what you would call a crash diet. There was even one dinner meal that I thought was too much for me. The apparent reason that this diet works was said to be because of the chemical break down of the foods in the meal. I remember cheating on a ball of Maltesers during that time. But that was it. Now I’m not sure if hcg diet will give you the same. But I did hear some good feedbacks on that too.

Meanwhile, the only condiments allowed for the 3 Day Diet are: lemon, salt and pepper.

DAY 1
Breakfast
Black coffee or tea (Sweet & Low or Equal) or water
1/2 Grapefruit or Juice
1 slice toast with 1 Tbsp. Peanut Butter

Lunch
1/2 Cup of Tuna
1 slice toast
Black coffee or tea (Sweet & Low or Equal) or water

Supper
3 oz. any lean meat
1 cup green beans
1 cup carrots
1 cup vanilla ice cream
1 medium apple
Black coffee or tea (Sweet & Low or Equal) or water

DAY2
Breakfast
Black coffee or tea (Sweet & Low or Equal) or water
1 egg (any style)
1 slice toast
1 banana

Lunch
1 cup cottage cheese or tuna
5 saltine crackers
Black coffee or tea (Sweet & Low or Equal) or water

Supper
2 beef franks or hot dogs
1/2 cup carrots
1 banana
1 cup broccoli or cabbage
1/2 cup vanilla ice cream
Black coffee or tea (Sweet & Low or Equal) or water

DAY3
Breakfast
Black coffee or tea (Sweet & Low or Equal) or water
5 regular saltine crackers
1 oz.(slice) cheddar cheese
1 apple

Lunch
1 hard boiled egg
1 slice toast
Black coffee or tea (Sweet & Low or Equal) or water

Supper
1 cup tuna
1 cup carrots
1 cup cauliflower
1 cup melon
1/2 cup regular vanilla ice cream
Black coffee or tea (Sweet & Low or Equal) or water

Substitutions Allowed: (take care not to substitute more than 3 items from all the meals)
Orange instead of Grapefruit
Tuna instead of Cottage cheese
Frozen yogurt instead of Ice Cream
Cauliflower instead of Broccoli
Green beans instead of Broccoli or Cauliflower

The ultimate culprit to people getting sick nowadays is the unforgiving heat. As much as I would rather have our electric bill to stay to a minimum, it’s going to bring us more harm than good if we don’t have the airconditioner on for more hours a day than usual.

And as if that was not enough, it drove us to get a split type airconditioner installed in our living room where my office nook is. Apparently the stand fan and the ceiling fan both on max is not enough to make our place comfortable and conducive enough for work. The sauna feel despite the fans on max has made me sick. With the month of May soon coming to a close, there is not a bit of indication that we will have a cooler weather anytime soon. I’ve read somewhere that La Nina will follow the drought we have these days by July. Which concerns me somehow. The Ondoy flooding that happened to us last September 26, 2009 was one unforgettable disaster that we are all praying we do not have to face ever again.

The influence can be traced right back to the value our society has subconsciously and otherwise put in their heads. To keep up with a certain social ideal of beauty will be a great disappointment to a girl who is naturally big framed. Should she resort to apidexin right on just to win the approval of others? But the fact remains some runners fail to keep the weight because they eat with a vengeance as soon as they are done running. Truth be told, running can be exhausting. It is possibly one of the many vigorous exercises one can do. But it is a very effective way to burn calories and shed off pounds. Not to mention the improved stamina that it gives when one does it on a regular basis. This is where a personal trainer can come in handy, especially if you have weight issues that need to be addressed.

With the right exercise regimen, like running and a healthy diet, one can be successful in keeping up with a healthy lifestyle. Some may still choose to take supplements from fatburner.net, but most others will do very well with just the right diet and exercise.

Height is a non-issue if you’re a girl, if you ask me. But even as I feel good about my height and my being petite, I would have tried one of those hgh supplements when I was younger, just to boost my stature a tiny bit. The thing is, such supplements were not as available during that time and if they were, horror stories shouldn’t be far behind. That being said, I think I’m happy with my current height. The petite me fit perfectly in my hubby’s stature.

It has been a good couple of weeks since I first tried working out using the Figure Trimmer Disc. I wish I could tell you that I’m into it religiously, but I am not. Good news is I am not about to give up on myself just yet. The fact that I could literally feel the stretch it does to my back every time I use it should tell me enough that it is one good workout to keep. Oh no, not keep hidden underneath my office desk but actually keep using it on a daily basis.

I honestly do not mind if I stay at 103lbs, I really just need to get rid of some excess tummy fat that I cannot anymore afford if I plan to keep on using my regular wardrobe. It would cost a fortune if I would have to change wardrobes altogether. It is like loving what used to be my 3month pregnancy weight. Methinks kymaro body shaper would be a good choice for us ladies who might be in the same boat I am now in. Let us just make sure we don’t go close to donning that muffin look.

I did not take it seriously when I was told that barre3 is one tough workout. I have tried yoga and the 4 minute F.I.T. workout and I survived. I was pretty confident even that I was going to breeze through it. I cannot be more wrong. barre3 is one workout that seriously took care of the muscles that were otherwise dormant in my body. I actually felt particular muscle groups that were supposed to do their job in every sequence. It was tough all right but it was really fun!

Tanya Tan (barre3 Managing Director in the Phils.) and Darcy Harding (master trainer from Portland, Oregon)

Last Monday I was able to try out the barre3 workout alongside a dozen other bloggers held in The Spa Wellness at The Fort at Bonifacio Highstreet. The Spa’s ambiance has always been a winner to me. Its cascading waterfalls never fail to give that conducive for relaxation atmosphere. It so reminds of a spa music mp3 that I turn on whenever I get to immerse myself in the tub. Only this time it was live and so much more inviting.

the barre3 class before ours

The one who conducted our session was the master trainer from Portland, Oregon herself, Darcy Harding. She was one fine, flexible woman, to say the least. Everything for her was effortless, while I had to stop once in every while to catch my breath. Even my already sporty husband agreed that the barre3 workout will definitely do wonders for a person’s body.

barre3 is a highly effective 60-minute revolutionary workout using the ballet barre as a prop to create equal length and strength in the body. Each class follows a specific sequence blending the grace of ballet barre with the wisdom of yoga and the strength of pilates. Classes are taught to an ubeat soundtrack designed to support the vigorous flow of the class.

Here are some of the benefits of barre3:

Connects mind, body and breath and relieves stress
Inch loss and reduces body fat
Builds longer, leaner muscles and a strong core
Energizes and increases stamina
Develops muscle balance leading to a well proportioned body with less risk for injury
Increases flexibility and creates a natural flow to the body
Precise instruction for each client improves results (without the cost of a personal trainer)
Motivating group environment builds connections and community, both important in making exercise a regular part of life.

The neatest thing about working online is the bunch of new things you discover as you go along. The world wide web has become like my virtual office as I dig into things that am assigned to do by my virtual employer. Whenever I do discover new things, I cannot help but stop and search more about it.

What got my eye particularly is this human growth hormone that can actually improve everything about you. Blame the anesthesia from all the trips I have had under the knife for some “senior moments,” but nobody wants to age earlier than they have to, whether physically or mentally. Seriously. The technology can be pretty amazing, right? I am so magnetized about this particular anti oxidant super food. I cannot yet reveal what that is. I don’t exactly endorse anything that I have not tried for myself first. So will let you guys know, when I have.

I tell you it is not easy. Whenever I can at all help it, what I do is to skip lunch, if there is a party to attend to in the evening. But I make sure as well I do not starve myself, I drink kefir (a super healthy probiotic drink that I ferment myself) to kill the hunger pangs and I’m good.

But as much as I attempt to do these little preventive measures, all those cholesterol laden yummies plus my all time favorite sweets is just out have to get the better of me, that I currently feel heavier now than I did the previous month. Maybe I should do ellipticals aside from the 4 minute workout that I should resume doing very soon. This will jump start my resolution for the coming year to be mroe disciplined when it comes to working out.

The moment we start working and get real serious in the market place is the time that we welcome a surge of stress factors into our being. Although this is an integral cycle of the human cycle, there is actually a way to manage the stressors. This is precisely why employers give the privilege of vacation leave to their regular employees for them to be able to recharge and come back to the work place more efficient and effective.

Vacation could very much be spent in places we love, that’s for sure. But if your purpose for a vacation is to de-stress then you could choose a day or two at the daytona beach resort and spend another day in a health spa. This will very likely shoot two birds in one stone. Getting in tune with your body and learning when to give in to its cry for rest will be beneficial for your well being.
