It was several years back when I remember getting myself in line to attend the fantabulous Mary Kay launch here in the Philippines. I was already a distributor of FLP then, but the truth is the reason why I went to that event was not because of the business opportunity but rather to get a hold of the yummy treats and test the make up for myself. I was so happy to bring home a bag filled with goodies-which weren’t free. Many years after and having had used tons of other products, even though their products are good, I did not stick with them. There were other greater make up discoveries. But two of my family members became patrons – my mom and sister. The coverage of the liquid foundation on them was flawless. As for me, I don’t use foundation on a regular basis. I never liked how heavy foundation feels, regardless of the brand name.
More than the make up, I remember that Mary Kay event because of the unique trophy they give out to the best among their distributors – the keys to their very own pink Cadillac! They have been doing it for over 50 years, now tell me how cool is that. For a while during their presentation, I dreamt of being one of the recipients of those keys. But then again, in this time and age, I could actually avail of a
used car loan and get my very own pink Volkswagen convertible. Cadillac can be a little old school.
