It was a lovely night of sweet body pampering at Manila Hotel courtesy of Beyond Bath Organics last July 27, 2010. Never mind if I had to struggle my way in because it coincided with the concert Lettermen had that night. I actually had to Google them up. They apparently are the original boy band of the 60’s, which explains the demographics of the crowd that night. The trouble was all worth it, I should say.

Now, if you happen to have been following this blog for a while, you already know that my leaning is towards everything organic. So when I received the invitation for the Beyond Bath Organics some weeks back, I knew there was no way I was to miss it.
When I got in the lobby of Manila Hotel Spa, I was all ears. I was really pleased that business people are getting into the “green” bandwagon. Either it be out of sheer passion or by mere dictation of the wellness generation we are tagged with, the fact remains that this effort makes both manufacturer and consumer value our environment all the more.

Essensity was launched by Schwarzkopf Professional last year, boasting of natural ingredients. And you can say, with my leaning to all natural beauty products, I was all too thrilled. All the SLS, silicones have what have you, chemical based ingredients have started scaring me off from the moment I got hooked studying the cancer causing SLS and SLES ingredients in most shampoos and even body wash and soaps.
Essensity is a line free of artifician fragrance and all those crap we usually see in commercial shampoos. While I love that this shampoo is all natural, it’s performance is not really spectacular. I have found that out of the 3 all natural shampoos that I use at least 2 of them cause hair fall. Yes including this brand. But I’m not saying that it does cause me hair fall, it is going to be the same for everyone.

I am completely sold out to this product. I love Leyende! It was four months ago when I

started noticing falling hair all over the bath tub, on my brush and all over the floor. The amount of hair I was losing was alarming. I was too young to go bald. And at that rate I was to go bald very soon if it wasn’t for this treasure find.
As a big fan of everything organic, I tried a hair organic soap that claims to stop hair fall and also
Ilog Maria’s Honey Propolis shampoo – which I love as well and which is what my son uses. Sad to say they both did not stop my hair from falling.
Leyende’s Clear and Present Shampoo alone did it for me. After a few washes, I already noticed lessened hair fall and after a week it was as if my hair fall episode never happened. I wish Neva could read this and know how much I appreciate her genius for having come up with such wonder product.
Leyende’s products are made of organic ingredients. Plant based and no animal by products for their stuff. The ingredients for this shampoo are organic aloe vera, vegetable glyceryl laurate, coconut sarcosinate, detonized aqua, pearl essence, keratin, macadamia nut oil, organic tea tree oil, a-tocopherol (Vit.E), organic fragrance oils and sodium gluconate.
The girl from their stall in Glorietta told me that I can exchange my empty Leyende bottle for a jar of lotion-what a bonus! A bottle of this shampoo costs PhP 450 (less than $10). Head over to Leyende.multiply.com for more info on their products.
