My new toy Lady Rouge just turned a month old. Break in – check. First car maintenance for the first 1,000km. – check. I am loving it so far. I don’t think there’ll be a car that would better fit my need. It has the back up sensors and indicator that I need. I did have to buy a Garmin GPS though, just to make sure I don’t get lost in the streets.

The ultimate culprit to people getting sick nowadays is the unforgiving heat. As much as I would rather have our electric bill to stay to a minimum, it’s going to bring us more harm than good if we don’t have the airconditioner on for more hours a day than usual.

And as if that was not enough, it drove us to get a split type airconditioner installed in our living room where my office nook is. Apparently the stand fan and the ceiling fan both on max is not enough to make our place comfortable and conducive enough for work. The sauna feel despite the fans on max has made me sick. With the month of May soon coming to a close, there is not a bit of indication that we will have a cooler weather anytime soon. I’ve read somewhere that La Nina will follow the drought we have these days by July. Which concerns me somehow. The Ondoy flooding that happened to us last September 26, 2009 was one unforgettable disaster that we are all praying we do not have to face ever again.

Kikay Corner rarely watches the television, whether local or cable. Now that I have reorganized my workstation at home in such a way that my back is turned against the LCD television, it would probably make DIRECTV watching almost impossible, especially so that I spend at least 16 hours in the computer.

I just know I cannot shrug DIRECT TV for long, with all the things I need to do, I have got to have my fix one time or another. Hello dear readers! I have a handful of beauty product reviews on queue. The thing is I cannot get myself to sit down on them because I recently ventured into another online job as a virtual assistant. Yey! I am so far loving it, especially so that I think I have a great boss.

The thing about freelancing and having all these online jobs is I’m back to being deprived of sleep. As a virtual assistant, I sometimes have to be up during office hours on a different time zone. It’s pretty much just like working in a call center right from home. But what is sweet about it is I did not have to do calls every single day. My employer is pretty much flexible, allowing me to work on my other tasks (save for the calls) during my free time.

I’m giving myself a couple more weeks to adjust or else I just might need some sleep pills to catch up somehow on all my sleepless nights. But do forgive me if I do not get to do updates on Kikay Corner very often from here on.
