Skin Care Class and Make Up Consultation

The very first time I heard about Mary Kay was in May 2000 when I attended its very first launch here in the Philippines. There was not much that I picked up from it aside from their claim that they have great products. The business side was also introduced during the launch. Sure, who wouldn’t love a pink Cadillac, right? Although a pink rv would be lovelier. ๐Ÿ™‚ Apparently this is one of their marks of success. I think they do have great products that back up their business. And one thing for sure, I love the integrity that they have compared to the experience I recently had with another makeup brand.

During the launch, I bought a starter kit with several of their makeup samples, stuff that are used for makeup classes, mirrors, et.al, which I just gave away save for a couple of lipstick tubes. I was not much of a make up person during my younger years. Lipstick, brow liner and a face powder and I was good to go. I always thought foundations are just for super special occasions. So nine years down the road I was set to relearn and actually attended my very first Mary Kay skin care class.

Last June 10, Kikay Corner got invited to Mary Kay’s bloggers skin care class and makeup consultation event. As much as I already know the basics of these make up musts, it is just nice to be refreshed and enjoy the pampering you get from skin care classes alongside all the lovely ladies who came with me. My sister is a big fan of Mary Kay since early 2001. That is until she shifted to Olay. It was actually the first time that I actually appreciated the foundation on my face. It did feel lightweight and there is practically no need for concealer to be used when you have the foundation on. Now, I not only love Mary Kay high profile creme lipstick in Toffee Caramel, I also love its liquid foundation in Ivory. ๐Ÿ™‚

Riversol is a new skincare regime that was developed by a dermatologist in Vancouver, BC. Dr. Jason Rivers and his product line called Riversol is definitely worth trying! Iโ€™ve used everything on my dry skin to help hydrate but nothing holds the moisture like these products. You can buy it on-line or thru doctors and high end retail outlets. Do your skin a favor and request some free samples
