Dear friend Frances of Beauty for a Living and Topaz Horizon, made my day today! She gave me these prettifying thingies by Revlon Colorstay. One of my most favorite brands of all. I know it often is regarded as a drugstore brand but as a practical person that I am, I think it makes sense to stick to a brand that works just fine than opt for a pricier one that just about does the same. I have tested Revlon Colorstay for more than 10 years now and what more can I say — I’m a believer!
I will review these in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, allow me to give you a sneak peek of these beautifying thingies. Frances gave me three shades of Revlon ColorStay Brow Enhancer in Blackened Brown, Medium Brown and Light Brown. I tried to do macro shots of the swatches but my basic 18-55mm lens won’t allow me to do a good shot. I will wait until I get the Canon Ixus 110is in Pink within this week that I am up to review. Unfortunately our A620 is still with Canon service center. I’m not sure how long they plan to have it on hold. Anyway, here is the Revlon ColorStay Dual ended Brow enhancer. I love that Revlon does this a lot. Dual ended stuff makes you feel that you’re getting more from the product than if it was the regular single ended type. Here’s what Revlon says about it:
Revlon ColorStay Brow Enhancer — the innovative dual-ended wand makes it easy to get professional looking results. The unique tinted wax formula, on one end, colors and sets brows for soft definition. The luminous highlighter accentuates the brow bone area for a lifted appearance. Wears up to 16 hours.
* Ophthalmologist tested. Suitable for contact lens wearers.
Now, a brow enhancer or a pencil is something that you’ll never catch me without. That, lipstick and a face powder. It has been my threesome weesome for as long as I can remember. My brows are too thin that if I could, I would pat on some hair grower on them given the right product. Maybe I could then try out another arch. We will see how this will fare. If it stays true to its name. ๐
As if the three brow enhancers were not enough, Frances threw in the package a Revlon ColorStay Liquid Eye Pen in black/noir. She is one generous soul, I tell you. ๐ As for liquid eye pens, I have tried quite a few, but have never been very satisfied. We will see how this one delivers.
Here’s the blurb from Revlon.com:
-No-mess liquid eyeliner creates a precise line from soft to dramatic
-Felt tip controlled application
-Smudge-proof lasting color that wears up to 16 hours
-Easier to apply than traditional liquid eyeliners
Thank you Frances for these Revlon ColorStay candies! I can’t wait to try them when my eyes quit being teary and bleary from all this colds. ๐
Oh, no worries! Just tell me what you want and if I have it, I’ll send it over right away! I’m still waiting for some anti-frizz products. Sayang–I just gave a set of anti-frizz stuff to my pregnant staff, her pregnancy is making her hair all flyaway-y!
Oh, Cosmo’s beauty editor said the liquid eye pen needs several coats =)
