Mineral powder makeup

powder makeupIs there danger in inhaling fine particles when I use loose foundation or powder? After having been a Clinique Blended face powder (03 Transparency) user for a good number of years since my college days, this question did not exactly enter my mind. But now that I have leaned towards “natural,” I have actually given it a thought somehow.

It would help to know that what you use is mineral and not just one of those “poser” mineral make up stuff. You have to make sure that your brand is nothing like that of the south Korean brand, claiming to be mineral based but was actually found to cause Asbestosis & Lung Cancer. The rule of the thumb is, anything that is not clean air is bad for the lungs. So when you use mineral powder of any type, make sure you hold your breath as you apply and dust the powder on your face. It is just neat that these days there are mineral makeup alternatives that are not powder based. If at all, this could even be the better option. 🙂
