Butter on my bread, yes. But not on my body. Even when I was preggers with my son, the idea of having to slather butter around my tummy felt like huge task. When you are compelled to do things, even the trivial ones, they become such task that you might as well forget altogether. I hoped not to develop stretch marks then. Thus, the effort. But as they say, when it’s in your genes, you’re going to show, whether you like it or not. The rest is history. I have come to terms with that and had managed to pull off a two piece once or twice after. Now, I’m am totally digressing.
Moving on, whether body butter or the regular lotion, I was never big on it. Not until my bff Gina sent me this tub of Victoria’s Secret My Desire Ultra Softening Body Butter for Christmas. It so appealed to me because its texture and consistency is nothing like your ordinary body butter or lotion. It is almost instantly absorbed by the skin. I super love how it disappears on my skin without leaving any waxy feel that body butters are usually notorious for. The heavenly scent of grapefruit, jasmine and mango coming together is really just a bonus! Expect more reviews on beauty stuff in this corner, even as I do colon cleanser reviews in between. If you have gotten a hold of the current issue of Good Housekeeping magazine, this is part of what I do for a living. 🙂
