Kikay Corner’s Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Challenge Result

For a little more than a month, I have been using Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate and Midnight Recovery Eye exclusively. Although I had my hesitations when I found out it was oil-based, I gave it a go anyway. Without really being sure if I can follow through with it. The last oil based skin treatment I tried (Argan-oil), which is said to be used by prominent celebrities gave me the most shocking milia break out in my life. I had to stop using that Argan-oil altogether on the third night! I knew right there it was just not for me.

Kiehl's Midnight Recovery ConcentrateIt was entirely a different thing with Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate and its eye cream. When they said I should expect an improvement overnight, I was sure it was an overstatement, part of some marketing and sales pitch that would come people on and get them to check their products out. I am so happy to report that my  initial thoughts were invalidated when I felt the difference upon waking up the next day! I am sold out to these Midnight Magic products! Totally!
Warts Cautery

This was a photo taken a week before I first tried Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate and Eye Cream. Yes, that was shot right before my first ever wart cautery session at 36! It took me so long to have my warts taken cared of, which were not as many as my milia according to Dra. Glenise Javelosa. I was too afraid that the treatment will be painful. But it was practically zero pain.  I am blogging about that soon. 🙂

The Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Challenge could not have been more timely! Although Dra. Javelosa did a real great job on my face that I hardly had to deal with cautery marks, the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate products reinforced the healing my face needed. As breezy as the cautery procedure might have been, my skin must have undergone trauma still.

Kiehl's Midnight Concentrate

Two or three drops on the face are enough to cover the entire face.

Keihl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate being oil-based proved to be not a problem. Here’s a fact. For as long as I can remember, oil-based products have not worked for me until now. Primarily because my skin used to be oily in general. It might have something to do with my skin shifting to being on the combination category now. But when I come to think of how my skin reacted to the argan-oil I formerly used, I cannot help but lean on the fact that it has everything to do with the product. It is easy to conclude that Keihl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate is officially the only oil-based skin care treatment my face can tolerate.

APPLICATION ADVICE:

  • Apply two-three drops of Midnight Recovery Concentrate onto the top of a clean hand.
  • Tap fingertips into oil lightly.
  • Press fingertips gently on the cheeks, forehead and chin to evenly distribute – pat, do not rub.

Although the application advice is to apply two to three drops on the palm of the hand before patting the concentrate on the face, I find it more practical to drop it straight on my face as it easily gets absorbed by the skin. By the time that I try to to apply it on my face (when I do it as advised), most of the product have been absorbed. I would have to ask Kiehl’s if this practice is okay. I just feel that I get the most of the product when I do it my way. It is so easily absorbed that it hardly would give me the greasy feel most oil-based products do. This is totally my holy grail product for skin hydration and brightening without having to put up with grease.

Performance Proven:

After four weeks of using the Midnight Recovery Challenge Concentrate, I have noticed that the result on me agrees with how the product delivered to the 47 women (age ranging for 20-67), 41% of which have sensitive skin. All 47 women applied the product every night for 4 weeks too.

√ Nurtures and replenishes skin: 85%

Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Eye

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Eye

Keihl’s Midnight Recovery Eye was another welcome challenge. Having had puffy eyes for as long as I can remember, which becomes oh so greatly more pronounced when I do not get enough sleep, this cream got me to drop the concealer stick after only one week of use! Yay! My eyes are not as puffy anymore. But I’m sure it would have calmed all the way down altogether if I just religiously followed through sleeping at least 7 hours a night.  All things considered, my praises are all for this eye cream. As opposed to most eye creams I have used, this was friendly to the skin around my eyes. I have noticed that my eyes tend to become hyper sensitive to the creams I formerly used. No matter what brand they were, even the ones that are supposed to be organic, my eyes would get so irritated that I would have to quit sooner than later. Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Eye is the only eye cream brand to date that I will consider repurchasing.I highly recommend this eye cream. But if you are to try this, it will be best to maximize its benefits by getting 7 hours of sleep every night, eat healthy, and choose to quit smoking (if you are) even the best mild cigars and give your skin the treat that it needs. It won’t just be good for your skin in the long haul.

Even after the 28 day Keihl’s Midnight Recovery Challenge is over, I will still continue using these two holy grail products. This is how much I love these Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate products and the benefits they have delivered to date. If they have done my skin so good in 28 days, I find no reason to stop using them. 🙂
