I have personally been a believer of health from within. This has been my reason why I stopped drinking sodas since I was in college and have made sure I drink more than 10 glasses of water a day. I’m what one might call a “Water Advocate.” I’m so into it that I ask my boys to try to drink up to 15 glasses of water a day, not counting coffee or juice drinks that they take. No, I haven’t really taken it so far as to have them make a tick mark of sorts to make sure they make it to 15. But my asking them every so often at random parts of the day the number of glasses they’ve drank make them conscious enough.
What’s really nice about this is, drinking enough water each day can actually retard aging and make our skin glow. What lovely bonus that is! That was affirmed as I got a hold of this Myra Holistic Skin Care package.
#TuloyAngGanda package from Myra Holistic Skin Care
I have always wanted to get hold of my own Kor Water bottle but I don’t really know where to find it years back. So I was all giddy when the package came with a personalized Kor One! I haven’t used a better hydration vessel. The cap doesn’t bang on my nose as I drink and allows me to take that perfect grip as I sip. And I haven’t even started with the Inspirational stones yet. I figured that’s another post altogether. Because really, I can go on and on about my being a Water Advocate, which Kor Water, I recently found out, call their followers as such.
Our body being 70% water should be reason enough for us to be Water Advocates. If there’s anything I’ve learned, a lot of our bodily functions break down because of dehydration. And unless you’re badly dehydrated, you really don’t get to have tell-tale symptoms. This is why it is imperative to always have a water bottle close by. I’m just grateful that I get to tote around with the best hydration vessel there is. 🙂
Oh, this Yummy Light Meals Recipe Book will be used and abused, all right.
I am the sole person responsible for our everyday meals. That’s 21 meals per week or at least 84 meals per month. That’s at least 1,008 meals per year! Sure, that can be overwhelming and all but I don’t let the numbers intimidate me. Even the usual stuff we buy for our pantry can be cooked a hundred different ways. As Chef Gusteau of Ratatouille said it, “Anyone can cook!” I just do it differently – Anyone can cook healthy but yummy meals! Most of our meals throughout the week are veggie-filled.
The hubby and I exercise together at least twice a week. (IG/Twitter/Tumblr post -> @jenaspacio)
We were shooting for everyday but life always gets in the way. We started doing Insanity Workout but there was no way I can get that done. It was really way too insane for my taste, so Hip Hop Abs, it is. Twice a week is good enough. But hoping to progress to three to hopefully, an everyday workout. 🙂
Working out is great for the heart, lungs, and mental outlook. We formerly invested in gym membership but figured we just couldn’t commit to going. The Hip Hop Abs workout works best for us, for now. No travel time, no gas cost. We just have to change to our gym attire, lay down the yoga mat and we’re good to go. Regular exercise gives our skin a healthy glow and helps nourish skin cells as it keeps the sweat glands busy. When our skin thrives, we get rid of waste products which include free radicals as it cleanses our bodies from within. I’ve also been using a magnetic therapy bracelet for a while now. I bought one from our recent trip to Hongkong. I wonder if that at all counts.
Get enough sleep. The only time our bodies are able to seriously get down to “repair” itself is when we’re sleeping. Enough quality sleep will help the skin regenerate. We sleep everyday anyway, we might as well maximize the benefit we get from it.
One cycle of sleep is 90 minutes. So from the time you sleep until the time you wake up in the morning, you have, let’s say, 5 to 6 cycles of sleep. It is best to set the alarm in multiples of 90 minutes. Say, you sleep at 10 PM, your sleep cycles end at 11:30PM, 1AM, 2:30 A.M., 4AM, then 5:30AM. Setting the alarm at 5:30AM instead of 5AM assures you that you are not roused in the middle of your deep-sleep stage. This will more likely have you wake up on the right side of the bed every day.
Myra Vitamin E (300IU and 400IU)
A regular dose of Vitamin E is one of the beauty regimen staples I’ve been reading of beautiful people that I follow. For good reason, apparently, Vitamin E helps the skin bounce back and recuperate faster from all the stress it has to put up with throughout the day. Cells are damaged by free radicals on a daily basis. Vitamin E works hard to protect the healthy cells. We do not naturally produce Vitamin E so supplementation makes a lot of sense as it acts as anti-oxidant, helping boost the skins from within. We don’t really need to look older than we really are. In fact, if it is at all possible, we can always choose to have younger-looking skin by adding Vitamin E to our regimen.
A formula to remember to achieve beautiful skin is: Beauty creams + Healthy Lifestyle + Healthy Cells = Healthy, Youthful-looking, and Glowing skin. Make sure that you take care of your skin from within with Myra Holistic Skin Care.
