ASUS releases its new line of Notebooks
ASUS recently introduced the new line-up of notebooks and claims to be more powerful with their 6th generation Intel® Core ™ processors, giving boost for extra mobility and improved performance, with pre-installed Microsoft Windows 10. Two of them are: ZenBook Pro UX501 and ZenBook UX305LA.
ZenBook Pro UX501: Asus’ Most Powerful Ultrabook yet
The ZenBook Pro UX501 is an ultra-high-performance laptop aimed at users demanding ultimate performance and ultimate style. Featuring a timeless and classic design, ZenBook Pro UX501 incorporates the elegance and style that is the hallmark of the ZenBook family. Its slim and compact chassis is just 20.6mm thin for easy portability, and is clad in beautiful aluminum featuring the iconic ASUS spun-metal finish. Brushed metal surfaces and diamond-cut chamfers on the edges add brilliant highlights, and the keyboard surround is enhanced with a stylish laser-engraved ripple-effect pattern.
ZenBook UX305LA: Stylish Notebook with ultra-fast SSD storage
The ZenBook UX305LA is a beautifully crafted all-aluminum Ultrabook™ that measures just 12.3mm thin, making it one of the world’s slimmest 13.3-inch FHD laptop. Its subtle and refined shape incorporates the DNA of the classic ZenBook, featuring an elegantly-tapered wedge design that has smooth and comfortable edges with diamond-cut metallic highlights.
As UX305LA continues the ZenBook tradition of combining performance with luxury, this gorgeous model only weighs 1.2kg and is powered by the new 6th generation Intel® Core™ i5 processor for multitasking functionality, and features a lightning-fast up to 512GB solid-state drive (SSD). The crisp, vibrant and stunningly-detailed 13.3-inch display has an up to FHD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. Available in a sophisticated new Gold color with ZenBook’s signature spun-metal finish, or a silky-smooth Ceramic Alloy shade, ZenBook UX305 is the ultimate ultraportable laptop for discerning users.
For someone who recently purchased an Asus laptop, I was really shooting for the more stylish looking ZenBook on display but considering my “need” (because a stylish laptop would’ve been sweeter), I went for an Asus X455L and am honestly very happy with it. It has an i5 processor which I have zero complaints about. I especially love that I was able to upgrade to Windows 10 without issues. Its performance has kept up with my various virtual assistant and blogging tasks, very responsive and I believe for around P33,000 that I got it from Abenson’s in Eastwood Mall, it sure is value for money. But as with a lot of different brands here in the Philippines, when it comes to after sales service, leave a lot to be desired. It’s not a biggie since I don’t exactly use backpacks, I didn’t even know until I went to the counter to pay for it that it came with a Quicksilver Backpack. I was told that I’d have to Megamall to pick it up and I did, just to be told that there is no available stock. Yikes! I didn’t bother to go claim it anymore. Here’s hoping that if anything comes with a purchase, it won’t have to be a bother for the buyer to claim it, try to claim to no avail. My real issue is the traffic and waste of time Megamall is. I’ve, for the longest time veered away from going there. Aside from traffic, parking is a pain. There’s almost always no slot, so there. I’m sure Asus will figure out a way to make purchase perks easier to claim. That said, from someone who’s been a Mac user for years, I’m super loving the fierce, responsive, various microcomputing features of Asus. 🙂
