One Day of Zen
After the remarkable success of ASUS ZenFone 2 series launch in August, ASUS Philippines yet again took things by storm, this time on a global scale as 70% of the winners of the the “100 Days of Zen” Photograph Contest came from the Philippines. To pick up on this milestone achievement, ASUS put together #OneDayofZen, to celebrate the feat of the campaign.
Photography 101 with Professional Lensmen
Photographers, media influencers and ASUS ZenFone fans were treated with a photography workshop by no less than the country’s most in-demand photographers Jay Tablante and Roy Macam. Widely known for their works in fashion, beauty and pop culture, both lensmen openly lent their expertise, shared pro tips and tricks, and also touched on the evolution of mobile photography. From there, they then gave helpful points on how one can maximize the features and capabilities of the ZenFone 2 Laser 5.0, taking the audience through various scenarios and conditions they might face when taking any and all kinds of photos.
Mr. Jay Tablante took the floor and shared some photography tips and tricks.
When Jay was asked how the ZenFone 2 is superior to other smartphones, the celebrated photographer vouched of the brand, “I can attest that the ZenFone 2’s auto-focus speed when taking photos is remarkably fast compared to my previous smartphones. More so, in terms of quality,you will find that the images taken by the ZenFone 2 are very crisp and bright overall, so that means you would no longer need to rely on any sort of photo app anymore. Given the ZenFone 2’s overall performance, I can say that it rivals that of the more expensive smartphones out there, but without the hefty price tag.”
Mr. Roy Macam came in next and shared more valuable Smartphone Photography tips.
Roy Macam shares Jay’s sentiments as he mentioned this of the smartphone: “Performance wise, I can say that the ZenFone 2 is much faster than the point and shoot cameras in the market now. Its auto-focus speed is so on-point that I have made my ZenFone 2 my go-to device for taking quick snaps, as there is never a struggle to capture any moment.”
The brush up on the photography basics that these lensmen shared during the #OneDayOfZen event was something I looked forward to. The last time I attended a photography class was with Sir James Nicolay back in 2009 and taking good shots via a smartphone was still unheard of. I took the class as I then purchased my first SLR camera. A lot have happened in 6 years! I no longer lug around going to cover events with my enormous SLR and telephoto lens like I used to. Especially now that I’ve seen for myself how good the ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser 5.5 is.

The photo categories, which included Best Selfie, Best Indoor Shot, and Best Outdoor Shot, were chosen to showcase the ZenFone 2 Laser 5 unique selling points, and unparalleled photography quality and capabilities.
ASUS Philippines also let netizens in on the fun and celebration of #OneDayofZen through a special offer for the followers of any of the 100 attendees. Interested participants must submit a clear, scanned copy of their official receipt of any recent ZenFone 2 purchase made in the Philippines from November 21 – 30, 2015, along with their favorite photo uploaded by any of the attendees for #OneDayofZen. The first 25 individuals to send both these requirements to marketing@asusph.com, will get to win a limited edition Zenny Doll.
Even pro photographers agree that ZenFone 2 Laser is definitely a bang for the buck, with all the best features packed in one smartphone.
