Marks & Spencer Celebrates International Women’s Day

In celebration of the International Women’s Day, Marks & Spencer treated a bunch of beautiful ladies at the Greenbelt 5 branch on March 8, 2016, with some styling tips by lifestyle and fashion icons Kelly Misa-Fernandez and Patty Laurel-Filart.

Kelly and Patty gave valuable tips on Swimwear for Moms who, like the both of them, have just given birth, — a ruched bathing suit can do the trick of hiding the yet flabby tummies. 🙂

For those who are not in the know, Kelly and Patty are BFFs, both first time moms and gave birth around the same time and their boys’ names both start with “T”. How cool is that! Totally #BFFGoals come true, if you ask me. That’s something you wish with your bestfriend from grade school. 🙂

Purses!

I honestly have yet to find a lady who doesn’t love purses! While I think I’ve become more relaxed in my purse choices. Meaning, I’ve switched from valuing  just style over comfort. Now, I’d really rather carry a comfortable one over a stylish one that’s gonna hurt my shoulder at the end of the day.  Patty and Kelly pointed out the balance of style and comfort and the appropriateness of a purse over one’s body type. Something I’ve never exactly looked into in the past.

Kelly Misa giving tips for working women

It was lovely evening with women, celebrating women! Thank you, Marks & Spencer for the meaningful, educational and empowering treat for us women. A handful of attendees also vouched for Marks & Spencer’s collection being timeless. It’s fun to note that one of the lady in attendance, mentioned about the pieces of wardrobe that she’s bought from the time M&S first opened in Manila. The fabric and workmanship of every wardrobe sold in this celebrated brand can sure last a long, long while. She also mentioned about this particular M&S technology that makes their fabric last. I have yet to get that verified.

I have loved Marks & Spencer from the time my bestfriend from London sent me a pack of undies that have become a favorite. I haven’t bought a single underwear outside of M&S since then. There’s just none that compare. It’s interesting to know that in London, Marks & Spencer is essentially like a regular brand in the U.K., like how we would our local ones.
