If you’re interested in looking as physically appealing as possible, now is the time to realize that there are multiple beauty techniques you can implement to realize your objective. Here are three of them:

1. Shop For Fashion Items Online.

Updating your wardrobe and accessories can take your look from average to incredible. Yet in many cases, people find the shopping process inconveniencing or irritating. If this is the case for you, it’s time to turn to the world of online shopping. This mode of finding fashion items will preclude you from waiting in long checkout lines, dealing with irate shoppers, and fighting off overly aggressive salespeople. (more…)

Her View from the Top: Whether in Career or Beauty, Renee Calls The Shots #DermAuthorityPDS #BeautyIsPowerPDS

Renee Alcantara

There’s beauty in power—and power in beauty. That, in essence, is what Renee Alcantara found out.

Running her own company, Southwest Persues Construction and Development Corporation, as its President and CEO entails making important decisions day in and day out. She has to face different people—business partners, suppliers, and government officials in the course of her work.

Early on, Renee realized that it’s not easy being a boss at what many consider as “a man’s world”—the construction industry. “I have to assert myself as a woman and know the ins and outs of the business like the back of my hand. It is a difficult job, but one that I’ve learned to love,” Renee points out. (more…)

Fashion, Beauty Finds and Holiday Shopping at @LamidoPH

You can say that one’s a certified online shopper when a lot of what she talks about are the perks of online shopping. You really can’t blame me since it has worked for me for years, I wouldn’t exchange the convenience of it all. It’s crazy during times I’ll just need to swing by malls these days, seems like everyone in the metro is at those shopping establishments doing their holiday shopping.

If you’re a practical girl like me, you’d seriously look into shopping online and save yourself the hassle of having to do elbow-hitting ninja moves at the mall to check out your holiday gifts list.

And because fashion and beauty gifts don’t get old, those are the categories I’m mostly hanging out in Lamido these days. The prices to love as well. I love that I don’t have to spend on gas while I’m at it.  (more…)

Top Japanese Hairstyling Brand, Lúcido-L Hair Supplement, Now Available in the Philippines

One of Japan’s top ladies’ hairstyling brands and Singapore’s no.1 ladies’ hairstyling brand is now available in the Philippines. Lúcido-L Hair Supplement is the answer for soft, manageable, beautiful hair. It lessens the hassles and reverses the damage brought about by other hair treatment products. The launch, held at SM Makati City, opened up with a hair fashion show, followed by short speeches from Lucido officials. There were also free hair treatment sessions for guests and visitors.

According to Hirotsogu Ohashi, General Manager for Mandom Philippines Corporation, Lúcido-L, “aims to provide long lasting, moisturizing treatment by restoring your hair’s natural moisture retaining system.” Ohashi explains, “The main reason for split ends and curls falling flat is due to lack of moisture in our hair.” Healthy hair should have the ability to retain moisture. This is where Cell Membrane Complex, or CMC, plays a vital role. A CMC-like ingredient is present in all Lúcido-L products. (more…)

Tingting Cojuangco at the Freeway x Botong Francisco Holiday 2012 Launch

Spotted: Margarita “Tingting” Cojuangco at the Freeway x Botong Francisco Holiday 2012 launch.

There is this undeniable regal flair about Ms. Tingting Cojuangco. Way before I got to meet her personally, there is always this feeling that I kind of know her a bit already. You can’t blame me, her column, together with her girls, when it first came on print on Philippine Star, is the first thing I turn to when I get hold of the broadsheet. Yes, that’s the Entertainment section. I especially loved how the column sounded a lot like the three of them are conversing while giving their respective two cents to the person asking for advice.

STYLE S.O.S. By Tingting Cojuangco, Lucy Torres-Gomez and Rissa Mananquil

Then the column transitioned to her trio with Lucy Torres-Gomez and Rizza Mananquil for Style S.O.S. on Philippine Star still. You can just about guess where I got the beauty tips right from when I was in college. 🙂

Imagine my delight when I was invited to dine with “the” Tingting Cojuangco, beauty and brains, then until now. It was from my folks, who also look up to her, that I learned what’s in her name. Mom told me that she used to be a model, very thin during that time and she was named Tingting, vernacular for broomstick. I forgot to verify this with her during our visit. She just might confirm this in the event that she chances upon this post. 🙂

I was even more impressed at her vast collection of artifacts that she has built over the years that originated from all over the Philippines!

Tingting Cojuangco’s Artifacts collection

Here’s the kicker, she knows exactly which ones come from where and what those trinkets are designed to do! Whew! I love her already and her passion for our culture and everything beautiful about our Philippines. 🙂

Kulintang is a modern term for an ancient instrumental form of music composed on a row of small, horizontally-laid gongs that function melodically, accompanied by larger, suspended gongs and drums. Source: Wikipedia

Tingting Cojuangco is on Twitter too. How cool is that? I use Instagram on a regular basis and because I had to know what the above pictured musical instrument was (it’s at the tip of my tongue, lost in my olden days of Batibot), so I instagramed away. 🙂
