Beauty Product Feature: MUZ Korean Skin Care Facial Masks and Anti-Wrinkle Eye Cream

MUZ Korean Skin Care

Our penchant for Korean beauty products all started with the BB Creams, then the facial masks. It didn’t take long when snail beauty products came into the picture. As gross and uncommon as it sounds, our curiosity and quest to covet the porcelain complexion of Korean skin is all too appealing not to give it a try.

So far, so good, I’ve loved all the Korean products that I’ve tried to date. I still have to yet to consider jumping into their multi-step beauty routine. But I’m always willing to give one or two products a try. Here’s one thing I’ve gathered from all the Korean products I’ve tried: What sets the K-beauty apart from all other beauty routines in the world is the emphasis on skin care.

Thanks to MUZ Korean Skin Care for sending these boxes of Facial Masks and Anti-Wrinkle Eye Cream for me to try. While I’m not a fan of a multi-step beauty routine,  I don’t feel as pressured to use facial sheet masks. The eye cream, I surely can make use of. My puffy eyes are pretty notorious, as I’ve seen it follow me around right from my childhood photos! Ha! (more…)

Celeteque Dermoscience Beauty Products Giveaway (Soothing Lip Balm, Eye Brightening and Cleansing Oil)

Celeteque Giveaway

One Kikay Corner reader will win these Celeteque Dermoscience Beauty Products by month end!  (Soothing Lip Balm, Eye Brightening and Cleansing Oil)

The first giveaway (pun not intended) to my being under the weather will always be my lips. My skin, I can always hide under proper moisturization but it can get really tricky when it comes to my lips. Apparently, the tinted organic ones I bought from Healthy Options can’t really take care of all the chapping when it gets really bad. Good thing there’s Celeteque Dermoscience Soothing Lip Balm and it has since been doing the job since I tried it. The SPF protection is a great plus since not all my lipsticks have some kind of sun protection in it. 🙂

celeteque soothing lip balm

Celeteque DermoScience™ Sun Care Soothing Lip Balm with SPF15 has a double sunscreen protection against UVA/UVB rays for the lips. Also has Mulberry Extract that lightens darkened lips and Moisturizing Oils that reduce dryness.

celeteque brightening eye

(1) Celeteque Dermoscience Brightening Eye Tuck Plus Dark Circles Lightener, (2) cream applied on my arm just to show its texture, (3) disappears on first wipe.

Definitely lightweight and most importantly, it does not sting my eyes like the pricier luxe eye creams I’ve tried in the past.

I have been using Celeteque Dermoscience Brightening Eye Tuck Plus Dark Circles Lightener since it came out at The Sample Room in December last year. Here’s the screencap of the  quick review I posted via The Sample Room. 🙂

Kikay Corner’s Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Challenge Result

For a little more than a month, I have been using Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate and Midnight Recovery Eye exclusively. Although I had my hesitations when I found out it was oil-based, I gave it a go anyway. Without really being sure if I can follow through with it. The last oil based skin treatment I tried (Argan-oil), which is said to be used by prominent celebrities gave me the most shocking milia break out in my life. I had to stop using that Argan-oil altogether on the third night! I knew right there it was just not for me.

Kiehl's Midnight Recovery ConcentrateIt was entirely a different thing with Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate and its eye cream. When they said I should expect an improvement overnight, I was sure it was an overstatement, part of some marketing and sales pitch that would come people on and get them to check their products out. I am so happy to report that my  initial thoughts were invalidated when I felt the difference upon waking up the next day! I am sold out to these Midnight Magic products! Totally!
Warts Cautery

This was a photo taken a week before I first tried Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate and Eye Cream. Yes, that was shot right before my first ever wart cautery session at 36! It took me so long to have my warts taken cared of, which were not as many as my milia according to Dra. Glenise Javelosa. I was too afraid that the treatment will be painful. But it was practically zero pain.  I am blogging about that soon. 🙂

Kikay Corner’s Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Diaries Challenge

Kiehl's Midnight Discovery Diaries ChallengeWhen Kiehl’s Manila asked Kikay Corner to be part of 2013 Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Diaries Challenge, I first had to check what the products are made of before I agreed to give it a go. As I am already leaning towards natural ones, I was very pleased to know that this powerful concentrate is 99% naturally-derived and paraben-free.

Kiehl's Midnight Recovery

Midnight Recovery Concentrate and the Midnight Recovery Eye are made of potent concentrations of botanical extracts specifically formulated to biologically replicate skin’s natural lipids for optimal skin repair throughout the night.

paraben free, fragrance free, mineral oil freeAfter learning about mineral and other petroleum by products being responsible of speeding up the skin’s aging process, I have avoided it since at all cost. Mineral oil is said to block pores, making the skin keep in the toxins that cause premature aging of the skin. So dear readers, if you love your skin any, check out the skin products sitting on your dresser and toss the ones with paraben and mineral oil straight to the bin! 🙂

My first Kiehl’s product was Kiehl’s Facial Fuel No-Shine Moisturizing Lip Balm and I love it to this day. Recently, I also got to try Kiehl’s Açaí Damage-Correcting Moisturizer from Sample Room. The latter’s being organic antioxidant is what drew me to it to begin with. Now, can I just say that I am one thrilled gal that I get to take on this Midnight Recovery Diaries Challenge? I’m 36. While people would say that I don’t look my age, whether they mean that or not, I do appreciate these things that are now commercially available to set back my skin’s aging process.
