My Favorite Things on Lyst Unveiled

Fashion must-haves on Lyst.

For those of us who have benefited from the perks of online shopping, we know oh so well what its like to spend our sweet time being productive while knowing we are not depriving ourselves of a little indulgence from time to time minus the hassle of the metro traffic or combing through endless aisles of dress racks and lines of shoes. While others may justify the hours of walking in malls, that’s just not for me anymore since I’ve learned to shop online. If it’s workout I’m after, I can turn the a workout video on easily right at the comfort of my own home. No time wasted on commute, zero carbon footprint and all win for the ever busy me. 🙂

There are a whole bunch of fashion sites on the world wide web, I know. But what sets Lyst apart, for me, is my ability to flag any item I find pricey and I get notified when that piece is on sale or is affordable at another shop. The ability to track specific fashion pieces of my choice and getting a feedback when they hit the store – now that’s beyond valuable, don’t you think?

Here are some of the pieces I’ve bookmarked away and a couple I’m looking into purchasing soon – they’re already on sale! Yay!

Adrianna Papell Floral Matelassé Fit & Flare Dress

Floral Matelassé Fit & Flare Dress by Adrianna Papell

I love all Adrianna Pepell designs. They’re all so feminine, stylish and dainty. I have in fact one Adriana Pepell floral print stashed away in my closet that I won’t dare use anymore. Let’s just say, I need to lose a couple of pounds or so. 🙂

What I specifically love about this particular Adrianna Papell Floral MatelassĂ© Fit & Flare Dress are the metallic thread accents that intensify the luminous glow of the already charming party frock designed with a demure, cap-sleeve top and structured seaming down the flared skirt. What’s not to love! (more…)

Nail Painting Tips

Painting your nails, whether doing it solo or as bonding time with friends can be a fun activity. It provides us with the opportunity to explore our creativity, as we get to enjoy having fab nails and look our best. The colors and patterns you can choose from are countless,  getting a wide range of options isn’t even costly as such stores as Kohl’s often offer many amazing discounts you can enjoy with the use of some coupons from The type of polish you get matters a lot, but the technique of nail painting makes a huge difference, as well.

Useful tips that will make your cuticles look glamorous!

1. Limit Your Strokes

In many instances, women apply too much nail polish. What you might not realize is that a mere three strokes is all you need. The polish is able to do the majority of the work for you, so there is no need to apply too much. Start by dipping your brush into the bottle and allow the polish to spread out as it is being placed on the nail. All it takes is a little dot to get the job done. Simply start at the nail’s base and stroke your brush left, right and center.

2. Select The Right White

Custom Shirts

Whether you are trying to run a business or really just want to get your cause noticed, you are going to want to make sure that you are checking out the option of a custom T-shirt design.

There are a few ways to do this, but one of the best bets is to go through a company that is known for their outstanding customer service and values. You want to work with a company that truly takes pride in their work. After all, you just never know what kind of T-shirt you would end up with if you went through a lesser quality company.

Three Things To Look For In A Sneaker Company

These days, many individuals are in search of the perfect pair of sneakers to optimize the aesthetic appeal of their outfit. If this is the case for you, it’s important to note that finding the ideal shoes means that you’ll need to find the ideal company from which to make the purchase. To ensure that you can do so, make sure the sneaker company you select possesses each of the following attributes:

1. A Wide Selection.

One of the first things you should consider when looking for the ideal sneaker company is whether they offer a wide selection. This step is important because it decreases the likelihood that you’ll have to move from shop to shop in order to find what you want. When you start looking for the ideal store, make sure that you consider a great company like In addition to offering customers the ability to shop online from the comfort and privacy of their homes, offers a wide selection which includes both general releases and rare, hard to find exclusives. Whether you’re trying to find a pair of retro jordans for yourself or the perfect sneakers for your child, this company has you covered.

UNIQLO Launches Ines de La Fressange 2015 Spring, Summer Collection

UNIQLO announces the worldwide launch of a special 2015 Spring, Summer collection created with Ines de La Fressange. UNIQLO Design Director Naoki Takizawa worked with Ines to merge her passion for the UNIQLO LifeWear concept with her style-inspired by refined feminine beauty and authentic quality. This is the third collaborative collection with Ines, comprising a total of 95 items in a wider range of fabrics (availability may vary by store).

The collection debuts in two stages. The first, for the Spring, recently launched, at UNIQLO flagship and large stores. New to the line is the natural caramel color common to southern France, dresses in vintage floral prints, and indigo shirts. The sophisticated styling includes new coordination approaches for classic sportswear, and updates to the garment-dyed nylon jacket and coats that proved so popular last year.

Clothing Hacks Everyone Should Know

There are few things that can ruin a day quicker than one of your favorite shirts or dresses that has a brand new, unremovable stain on it, or a pair of shoes that just got ruined mid-wear.

Here’s a list of must-know clothing hacks to (hopefully) make your life easier:

1. Can’t find an earring backing or small accessory that you just dropped? Pull a stocking over a vacuum hose and suction the area where you think you lost it.

2. Turn a button-down shirt inside out when ironing to avoid accidentally popping the buttons off.

3. Wearing new canvas shoes when it starts to downpour? Beeswax works as a waterproof sealant in a pinch.

4. Quickly iron an errant collar with a thin hair straightener.

Fashion, Beauty Finds and Holiday Shopping at @LamidoPH

You can say that one’s a certified online shopper when a lot of what she talks about are the perks of online shopping. You really can’t blame me since it has worked for me for years, I wouldn’t exchange the convenience of it all. It’s crazy during times I’ll just need to swing by malls these days, seems like everyone in the metro is at those shopping establishments doing their holiday shopping.

If you’re a practical girl like me, you’d seriously look into shopping online and save yourself the hassle of having to do elbow-hitting ninja moves at the mall to check out your holiday gifts list.

And because fashion and beauty gifts don’t get old, those are the categories I’m mostly hanging out in Lamido these days. The prices to love as well. I love that I don’t have to spend on gas while I’m at it.  (more…)

@LeeCooperPH London Rocks Manila (w/ #ootd)

From London to the Philippines, Lee Cooper, a British Denim and Apparel brand is rocking Manila with its first store at the Market!Market! in Taguig City.

Lee Cooper London was founded by Morris Cooper in Stratford, East London, in 1908. The first Lee Cooper London store in Manila officially opened on September 23, 2014 where special guests, international brand ambassadors, fashion icons and the press had a glimpse of London through the United Kingdom inspired booth, iconic structure and overall ambiance.

Of course with all the hype, I cannot just take their word for it, I had to check the store out myself. The UK-ish feel of the store, with the bricked wall, London Tower, a red telephone booth proto-type, you sure won’t miss. I love that the shopping assistants are friendly too. 🙂

Lee Cooper is the first jeans company in Europe. Since 1908.

Devoted to Denim, Dedicated to Style.

Lee Cooper London was originally conceptualized as “work wear” and “military wear,” now has evolved to “must wear,” as the brand continues to innovate in its product designs from its UK headquarters, it also continues to take on more international following through the years. (more…)

17th @UniqloPH Store Opens at the Power Plant Mall

UNIQLO, Japan’s leading global apparel brand, recently opened its 17th store in the Philippines at the Power Plant Mall, Rockwell Center, Makati City. The store launch showcased UNIQLO’s Kids and Babies expanded collection for the 2014 Fall/Winter season.

Uniqlo Kids

I love that Uniqlo believes that “kids should be free to be kids.” As opposed to  a handful lot of brands that stretch kids to dress up like adults, I am so for kids’ and babies clothes – freedom of movement, comfort, easier removal, fun designs and safety features to promote kids’ growth and health.

at uniqlo store launch

My 9 year old little man and I got to swing by the 17th Uniqlo store opening last Monday at the Powerplant Mall.

The Power Plant Mall location is strategic as Uniqlo chose it primarily to cater to Makati residents and the south of Metro Manila. Makati City is the Philippines’ financial/business district with a growing reputation as an entertainment and lifestyle and makes it an ideal location for UNIQLO’s new store, which is envisioned to become a place for the family to shop for their clothes.

Uniqlo Kids fashion show

The kids who walked the ramp looked really adorbs in their Uniqlo pieces. I saw for myself what Uniqlo professes they believe for the kids – freedom of movement, comfort, easier removal and fun designs. And did I mention the kids and babies were just plain adorable? I was gushing the whole time! 🙂
