I have personally been a believer of health from within. This has been my reason why I stopped drinking sodas since I was in college and have made sure I drink more than 10 glasses of water a day. I’m what one might call a “Water Advocate.” I’m so into it that I ask my boys to try to drink up to 15 glasses of water a day, not counting coffee or juice drinks that they take. No, I haven’t really taken it so far as to have them make a tick mark of sorts to make sure they make it to 15. But my asking them every so often at random parts of the day the number of glasses they’ve drank make them conscious enough.

What’s really nice about this is, drinking enough water each day can actually retard aging and make our skin glow. What lovely bonus that is! That was affirmed as I got a hold of this Myra Holistic Skin Care package.

Kor One Water Bottle

I have always wanted to get hold of my own Kor Water bottle but I don’t really know where to find it years back. So I was all giddy when the package came with a personalized Kor One! I haven’t used a better hydration vessel. The cap doesn’t bang on my nose as I drink and allows me to take that perfect grip as I sip.  And I haven’t even started with the Inspirational stones yet. Hours of Sleep

While we are at it, allow me to ask you: How many hours to you get each night on average? To be honest. Personally, this blogging time has occupied my time a great deal that I often deprive myself of sleep in favor of going online.

Contemplative of my own sleeping issues, thus the barrage of posts on sleep. I am not an insomniac. I get sleep when I want to, but it is the discipline that I have got to gain to stop the inevitable of getting all my sleep deprivation takes its toll on my poor skin and eventually get these fine lines leather looking earlier than its due.

Why There’s Beauty in Sleep

Here are the things sleep does to our body: restores, repairs and recharges. This is evident when we get enough hours of sleep in a day. Truth to tell, if we observe ourselves at all, there is a difference in our overall mood and well being when we get enough sleep and when we don’t.

A sleepless night or a restless one, can affect your health big time and it shows more obviously in the quality of our skin. This is why most people who are prone to acne and pimples get breakouts when they don’t get enough sleep.

Beauty Sleep

It has been said over and over again how beneficial sleep is. That a person should at least get eight hours of sleep per day to be healthy. Being healthy is the primary goal, but the bonus is enough sleep delays aging a great deal. It reduces the incidence of puffy eyes, for one.

Here are a few tips to a good night’s sleep:

1. Leisurely bathe in a medium hot bath. Mix a few drops of lavender oil and inhale the soothng fragrance.

2. Drink a glass of warm non-fat milk or eat a banana.

3. Read a good book in bed.

4. When you feel sleepy, make sure you sleep on your side. Not on your back or on your tummy.

5. Condition yourself that you will sleep well and have sweet dreams.
