Your living room is the focal point of your home. It is the one area that your friends, family members, and visitors get to see the most. It is not only the room to host all of your get-togethers in, but your living room is also a statement; it is a representation of who you are, a reflection of your personality. Because of that, you need to make sure you are giving your visitors the right perception of you.
Alongside some media friends, I recently attended the launch of NMI Art Gallery, named after the abstract artist herself, Nadine M. Ibay.
21-year-old abstract artist Nadine loves traveling, and indulges in her various interests as she continuously develops her craft. This young artist recently held her first solo exhibit, which was a huge success, at the Green Sun Hotel in Makati City last 2017.
An adherent to the principles of Eclecticism, Nadine admires the principles of Gustav Klimt and Banksy, two contrasting artists from different eras known for their private life and highly personal styles of art. In the antithesis of elements found in her painting amidst the vivid array of colors on her canvas, Nadine strives to develop her own style of art born from her own principles as inspired by the great masters before her.
She has an unrelenting thirst for inspiration and finds creative influence in the splendor of nature, and the complexity found in the lyrics and melody of a song. This young artist is the embodiment of her own art—from the jewelry she wears to the antique pieces and crystals she collects,Nadine transforms the numinous realms of meditation and dreams into the reality of her paintings.
NMI Art Gallery houses contemporary modern artworks. Freshly established in 2018 and run by the artist herself—Nadine Ibay has broken the odds of putting up her own gallery, showing an art independence remarkable for her youth. Nadine’s paintings are filled with bold identity and vivid imagery that stimulate its audiences and move them to pleasant and positive moods—showcasing a combination of enchanting colors molded from the artistry of the mystical world. Within the enveloping white walls, her art is a collection of dimensions and a mixture of forms where each painting is a mirror of emotions showing the authenticity of every art piece; an invitation to an experimental adventure to a lifestyle of flowing passion, spontaneous connection, and pure excitement.
As an artist, Nadine seeks balance in the duality of the world through the abstraction of color, of the form, of art’s own meaning. Finding inspiration from the natural world and the mystical realms, Nadine translates into visual incarnation the artistry of vision unique to her own developing style of art.
The dichotomy of her old soul is the quintessence of her art. The materials she uses—acrylic paints, spray paints, mineral pigments, gold leafs, and textured canvasses bring to life a variety of art that is only given meaning by the eyes that appreciate it. Because of her ability to translate the metaphysical into reality, her paintings are more than a splash of color, they are the personification of emotion. Nadine’s abstract art extends beyond the boundaries of her canvas and captures the attention of all who gaze upon it.
Aside from paintings, Nadine also collects crystals and antique pieces which gives a lot of people an impression that hers is an old soul that seeking for satisfaction in the current reality.
While today’s young generation is good at expressing themselves through more accessible platforms such as social media, individuals like Nadine Ibay are born in order to break the norm. It is young talents like her that provides depth and meaning to a generation that’s sometimes carried away by the superficial. Her effort to open this new gallery is in itself a great trend-twist.
The exhibit would not have been possible without the generous help of the following sponsors:
E.M Cuerpo, Davies, Columbus, Digee, R.R Encabo, GEO, DVF, Hillmarc, Bostik and 5599 Marketing. Nadine feels so grateful for all the support these sponsors have given her.

When it comes to pawning, it is the one thing I grew up having a negative connotation over. You wouldn’t catch me red-handed, to be anywhere near a pawnshop, for sure! But now that I’m grown, I have come to realize that pawning is nothing different than getting a loan with your personal property as a collateral.
The negative connotation on pawning may come from those that make pawning a habit. It is of course, always wiser to have the interest work for you. But in the event that you find yourself strapped for cash, and in urgent need to pay something off, is it not a good thing to have something of value that you can use as collateral to settle the bill? It boils down to discipline, and the fact that it is not a perfect world. Makes sense, right? I know, it took me a while to embrace that.
More than stuff that depreciate, I learned a long time ago (thanks Mom!) that investing on jewelry is way wiser since it becomes an asset, as opposed to buying say, a car, that depreciates over time. 🙂 (more…)

Our feet is some of the most abused parts of our body, especially for those whose work has them being on their feet for the better part of the day. but even not being on your feet is not that great because having a sedentary lifestyle, coupled with having to wear shoes can cause tired, aching feet.
A foot spa is a great way to pamper yourself. you not only get rid of the aches and pains, but you are getting other benefits such as reducing headaches and the like. After having tried a handful of skin care supplements, I have come to experience for myself the difference of the collagen drink HyC 150. The Hyaluron, Collagen, and Ubiquinol combination that other collagen supplements don’t have, might just be the winning combination. I have long put away the belief that supplements like this has everything to do with vanity. This, after experiencing the incredible relief from suffering from dry eyes for months on end, after taking HyC 150 for a week. Now before I get ahead of myself, what is the big deal about collagen anyway?
What’s the big deal about Collagen?
As we age, the amount of collagen that our body produces is diminished. From producing a youthful type of collagen, our bodies transition to producing an older type of collagen. Collagen has a lot to do with the elasticity of our skin. And as our skin ages, elastin production also decreases.
Yes, I have done my homework and not just take a brand’s claim on their products. It does make sense, right? It does not take me a whole lot to tell that I’m in need of supplementation. Possibly because I have been working long hours in front of the computer as a virtual assistant from 2009, it has taken its toll on my poor eyes. I may not be wearing glasses just yet, but my dry eyes have always been my tell-tale sign. HyC 150 has since been my go to collagen supplement drink. Aside from HyC 150’s health benefits, the icing to the cake is my skin is more supple. What’s not to love about HyC 150? 🙂 (more…)
