Revlon ColorStay Eye Makeup from Beauty for a Living

Dear friend Frances of Beauty for a Living and Topaz Horizon, made my day today! She gave me these prettifying thingies by Revlon Colorstay. One of my most favorite brands of all. I know it often is regarded as a drugstore brand but as a practical person that I am, I think it makes sense to stick to a brand that works just fine than opt for a pricier one that just about does the same. I have tested Revlon Colorstay for more than 10 years now and what more can I say — I’m a believer!

I will review these in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, allow me to give you a sneak peek of these beautifying thingies. Frances gave me three shades of Revlon ColorStay Brow Enhancer in Blackened Brown, Medium Brown and Light Brown. I tried to do macro shots of the swatches but my basic 18-55mm lens won’t allow me to do a good shot. I will wait until I get the Canon Ixus 110is in Pink within this week that I am up to review. Unfortunately our A620 is still with Canon service center. I’m not sure how long they plan to have it on hold. Anyway, here is the Revlon ColorStay Dual ended Brow enhancer. I love that Revlon does this a lot. Dual ended stuff makes you feel that you’re getting more from the product than if it was the regular single ended type. Here’s what Revlon says about it: (more…)

The Spa Bonifacio High Street

It was a long delayed date but I was sure glad it happened.  I thoroughly enjoyed that lunch date with my dear friend, Frances. I have known her from childhood and consider her as one of the few people who is really close to my heart.  I have loved this girl like my very own blood.  I really enjoyed that time I had with you, Frances! T’was her sweet treat. ‘Till next date! It will be on me then. 😉

We later headed to check out The Spa High Street after that big lunch at Italiannis.  The moment we stepped in, there was just one word to it- enthralling. We were welcomed into this serene place of cascading waterfalls in the reception area. No one was there, our feet were naturally led to the stairs going up to yet another perfect reception, this time welcomed by well groomed attendants.

The bestseller for me, aside from the lovely Villa accommodation was their ginger tea. For someone who is not big on anything hot to drink, I drank the whole thing in possibly two sips. I loved it! I was given a mini cup again after the shiatsu massage. I swore I was going to ask my therapist what the brand of the tea is, but it slipped my mind. Even just for that, I might just consider going back to The Spa for the yummiest of teas.
