UNIQLO, Japan’s leading global apparel brand, recently opened its 17th store in the Philippines at the Power Plant Mall, Rockwell Center, Makati City. The store launch showcased UNIQLO’s Kids and Babies expanded collection for the 2014 Fall/Winter season.
I love that Uniqlo believes that “kids should be free to be kids.” As opposed to a handful lot of brands that stretch kids to dress up like adults, I am so for kids’ and babies clothes – freedom of movement, comfort, easier removal, fun designs and safety features to promote kids’ growth and health.
My 9 year old little man and I got to swing by the 17th Uniqlo store opening last Monday at the Powerplant Mall.
The Power Plant Mall location is strategic as Uniqlo chose it primarily to cater to Makati residents and the south of Metro Manila. Makati City is the Philippines’ financial/business district with a growing reputation as an entertainment and lifestyle and makes it an ideal location for UNIQLO’s new store, which is envisioned to become a place for the family to shop for their clothes.
The kids who walked the ramp looked really adorbs in their Uniqlo pieces. I saw for myself what Uniqlo professes they believe for the kids – freedom of movement, comfort, easier removal and fun designs. And did I mention the kids and babies were just plain adorable? I was gushing the whole time! 🙂
Countdown to store opening! Yes, we were first in line.
